The Sharda School of Media, Film and Entertainment houses the vibrant and future-focused Department of Mass Communication, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of media professionals. The department offers a comprehensive suite of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral Programmes that blend academic rigour with experiential learning. With a curriculum tailored to address the communication needs of developing economies while maintaining a global perspective, students are trained in key areas such as Journalism, Digital Media, Advertising, Public Relations, Film & OTT Production, as well as cutting-edge fields like Animation, VFX, and Game Design. The department is equipped with advanced facilities including a fully operational television studio, editing suites, student-run newspapers (The Sharda Times & Sharda Samachar), and an on-campus community radio station, enabling hands-on learning from day one. Emphasizing current industry trends such as AI in media, immersive storytelling, real-time rendering, AR/VR, and cross-platform content creation, the department ensures students graduate with the creative vision, ethical grounding, and technical skills needed to succeed in today’s dynamic media landscape.
