The School of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSR) primarily imparts medical education of the highest standards to its MBBS and postgraduate students and students of related biological sciences. SMSR aims to create a truly global model for medical education and assist doctors with advanced and comprehensive medical care capabilities, who are skilled at working in clinical conditions, armed with solid practical skills, and can play active roles in the healthcare industry.
The School boasts of having State-of-the-art research infrastructural facilities supporting academic and research partnership to increase the understanding of biological processes and disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Additionally, to ensure the vitality and continued productivity of the study, SMSR provides leadership training to the next generation of scientists to enhance the diversity in the scientific workforce, and in developing research capacity throughout the country.

Its School of Medical Sciences & Research (SMSR) with its affiliated Sharda Hospital integrates the most recent advances into the delivery of medical education and healthcare with a mission to produce empathetic and competent medical professionals of the highest standards. With more than 1200 beds, the Sharda Hospital is expanding. SMSR has 1300+ MBBS and MD/MS students, chosen solely based on merit.
SMSR has well-qualified, highly skilled and experienced renowned faculty. Many of them have worked at prestigious institutions like AIIMS, LHMC, PGIMER, UCMS, etc. In the classrooms, museums, and medical labs, the faculty is dedicated to advancing subject knowledge and offering interdisciplinary perspectives. In the hospital at the patient's bedside, in clinics and operation theatres, the faculty ushers in an intellectual rigour for experiential learning with the aim to help budding medicos strengthen their clinical analytical and decision-making skills.
